Ukulele Wednesdays is the collective name for a group of lovely people who meet in The Royal George Pub, Goslett Yard, off Charing Cross Road, London every Wednesday evening from 7pm. The group was started by Lorraine Hardman in April 2007, as a means to meet with other ukulelists and practice weekly. Lots of people were there in the early days who still attend each Wednesday regularly such as Susie, Cari, Nick, Rufus, Quincy, Colin, Matthew, Joanne, Becky, Brian and many more. These people are the heart of a wonderful group that thrives thanks to their spirit, the hearty singalong, the warm welcoming venue, and a large amount of new people dropping in weekly and keeping the ukulele buzz alive and well. Oh, and the booze and wasabi peas, they may help too.
It has been decided it is high time for an online facility to enable the group to add new songs themselves and share general ukulele Wednesdays fun. This site is mainly intended to keep us all up to date with new tabs that aren't in the main book for bringing on Wednesdays! The main Wednesday book can be found here: http://www.box.net/shared/7v5uk0na5i (thank you to the splendid Mr Matt Black)
